thats awesome as! i love the perfect refractions on the stems, or whatever they are.
i thought l_glass only worked for maya, until i saw your images. i tried giving it a go in 3ds max 2009, but not much luck. lots of glitches. how did you manage to do it? did you change anything or do anything extra? cos all your glass images are amazing, would love to give it a try. seem to be able to get a rpetty good efect wtih vray though. but yeah, help would be aprpeciated.
do you manage to make it show up in 3ds max? The way to apply the L_glass is a little odd. What I do(there are other ways) is that I make a blank Mental Ray Material and put the L_glass in the Surface Shader channel.
Now the problem is that the UI has been written for Maya, so basically you get no UI and none of the default settings. So you have to set somethings before it actually works. one of the things is that you have to basically change the filtercolor to something other than black ofcourse, change the inside IOR to something bigger than 1.00 and make the attenuation something that is not zero. The other VERY important thing to change is glass_accuracy, if it's zero it basically wont render, for a good quality render I usually put it at 4. With these changes it should start to work like the dielectric material.
thanks so much! i finally got it to work, thank you!
i also gave TrueGlass a try, which is supposed to be the seccessor to L_glass. Lobber wrote TrueGlass as well it seems to do just as good a job, a better job if anything.
twas fun playing around with l_glass, thanks again!
Hehe, no problem. Yea trueglass is supposed to be a revamped version of L_glass, but apparently it has slightly less features. But hey, umm, do you think you could send me TrueGlass mi/dll. I've been looking for it for a while and I can't find it.(I prolly havnt been looking hard enough)
*eats it*

Don't hesitate to ask if there is anything else.
